Founded in 1988, Bonderra underwent three transformations over thirty-one years, evolving from “Zhonghai New Materials Factory” to “Zhongshan Huancheng District Bonderra Sealing Materials Factory” and then to “Zhongshan Bonderra Industries Co.,Ltd.” In 2013, it was officially renamed “Bonderra Industries Co.,Ltd.”
Bonderra is a technology enterprise integrating design and development, manufacturing and sales. The company primarily supplies polymer-based products and materials for vibration damping, noise reduction, sealing, thermal insulation, sound insulation and moisture protection. It holds a leading position in the industry, particularly in the specialized segment of vibration damping blocks for air conditioners.
>Bonderra has been recognized as a “National High-Tech Enterprise” and a “Guangdong Private Technology Enterprise.” In 2018, the company jointly established a “Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base” with South China University of Technology. At the same time, it also established a “National Postdoctoral Research Workstation.”

>As early as 1989, Bonderra successfully developed a non-drying, self-adhesive butyl rubber vibration damping material for air conditioners. The product filled a gap in China’s domestic market and ended the country’s reliance on imports in this area. In 2005, following two years of development, Bonderra successfully developed a new insulated drain hose with an embossed outer skin for air conditioners.
>In 2009, the innovation fund project for “Environmentally Friendly, Non-Drying, Flame-Retardant, Self-Adhesive Automotive Vibration Damping Sheets” was approved by Zhongshan. In 2012, this technology innovation fund project successfully passed its acceptance review by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology. While meeting environmental and flame-retardancy requirements, the product achieved excellent vibration damping and sound insulation performance, together with good self-adhesion, through innovations in four areas: material composition, application methods, processing techniques and product structure. It fully met vehicle owners’ requirements for interior noise control.
>In addition, in 2013, Bonderra’s “Development and Industrialization of Vibration Damping Products” project received the Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress from the Zhongshan Municipal Government. The technology was the first of its kind in China and also held a leading position internationally within the industry. In 2014, the “Research, Development and Industrialization of New Vibration-Damping Rubber Products” project was approved as a Zhongshan Major Special Project and passed its acceptance review in April 2017. The project’s results received the Third Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Zhongshan in 2017.
Since Bonderra was established, dozens of its research projects and achievements have received recognition and support from government departments at various levels. The company has also received a range of designations and recognitions, including “National High-Tech Enterprise,” “National Postdoctoral Research Workstation,” “Guangdong Private Technology Enterprise,” “One of Guangdong’s 500 High-Growth Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Private Enterprises) Receiving Priority Innovation Support,” “Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center” and “Municipal Enterprise Technology Center.”

>Currently, using its National Postdoctoral Research Workstation as a platform, Bonderra has equipped itself with an advanced and comprehensive range of testing equipment and experimental instruments. It recruits specialized technical personnel from a variety of sources, maintains long-term partnerships with universities such as South China University of Technology, and invests substantial funding in research and development. These efforts strengthen the company’s technological capabilities and support the development of industry-leading high-tech products with proprietary intellectual property. Bonderra has established a relatively comprehensive project development system integrating industry, academia and research.
