Founded in February 1988, Bonderra Industries Co.,Ltd. is a technology enterprise integrating the research, development, design, manufacture and sale of products for vibration damping, noise reduction, sealing, thermal insulation, sound insulation and moisture protection. It was also among the first companies in China to develop vibration damping, noise reduction and sound insulation products and materials for electrical equipment. Since its engineering R&D center was established, the company has consistently prioritized product development, undertaking research and development, the commercialization of research findings, and engineering trials relating to vibration damping and sound insulation materials for electrical equipment. These efforts have produced strong results and made a significant contribution to technological progress within the company and the industry. The technology and quality of its rubber product ranges, including vibration damping blocks, sealing strips, moisture-barrier membranes, molded rubber products, sealing putty and vibration damping sheets, are renowned in the industry. For several consecutive years, the Guangdong Rubber Society has ranked the company first in Guangdong Province based on a combined assessment of production output and sales.
The postdoctoral research workstation at Bonderra Industries Co.,Ltd. was established in October 2018. Its principal activities include the design and research of polymer-based vibration damping materials and products for vibrating machinery, sealing materials, sound insulation materials, thermal insulation materials, self-adhesive moisture-barrier membranes and molded rubber products. The workstation emphasizes translating research findings into practical production capabilities, helping ensure that the technology used in its rubber vibration isolation and noise reduction products for household appliances maintains a leading position in the industry.
The company has a strong foundation for innovation, supported by a team of experienced professional engineers and technical specialists who graduated from nationally designated key engineering universities and have long been engaged in developing products in their respective fields. To accommodate different equipment designs, the company has developed a range of vibration damping blocks comprising dozens of models and hundreds of specifications through nearly thirty years of research and development. These products can meet the vibration damping, noise reduction, sealing, thermal insulation, sound insulation and moisture protection requirements of almost all applications in sectors such as air conditioners, refrigerators, automobiles and buildings, both in China and abroad. The company can also rapidly develop new products that meet customers’ application requirements when they are developing new equipment models.
Since its establishment, the postdoctoral research workstation has achieved outstanding research results, developing two new processes, three new technologies and ten new products, and generating an additional RMB 28 million in gross output value. Two research projects led by resident postdoctoral researchers—“Analysis of Vibration Isolation and Noise Control Using Rubber Mounts for Variable-Speed Air-Conditioning Compressors and Matching Design with the Complete Unit” and “Study of the Vibration Isolation Mechanism and Optimization of Three-Point Rubber Mounts for Variable-Speed Compressors”—have both achieved significant interim results. These findings have been successfully applied to Shanghai Highly compressors and Midea air-conditioning compressors, delivering positive technical, economic and social benefits.
In 2009, the company was recognized as a “National High-Tech Enterprise” and a “Guangdong Private Technology Enterprise.” Its Bonderra brand was recognized as a “Guangdong Famous Trademark” in 2011. The Zhongshan Municipal Government awarded the company an “A-Class Taxpayer” rating for five consecutive years. In 2015, the Guangdong Institute of Standardization recognized the company as an “AAA-Level Enterprise with Good Standardization Practices.”
In recent years, the company’s R&D team has successfully completed more than twenty science and technology projects at the national, provincial and municipal levels. It has received support through approved projects under the national Innovation Fund for Technology-Based Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Zhongshan’s Major Science and Technology Projects program, as well as Zhongshan Innovation Vouchers in the priority category for two consecutive years. The company currently holds more than forty granted Chinese patents, including four invention patents granted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration. Among them, “A Connecting Seal Ring and Its Preparation Method” received the Zhongshan Patent Excellence Award in 2016.
